Latest Software Engineering Trends

As another PPD session there were two resource persons, HR manager and a software engineer came from industry(hsenid Mobile company) for giving us a brief introduction about latest trends in software engineering field. First, the HR manager conduct the session and she gave us an idea about how the industry does recruitment and what are the skills we should improve before enter to the industry. 
After that the software engineer conduct the session. He slowly came to the main topic by giving brief introduction about history and many other IT related topics. Some of those, even topics I have never heard before that..😊
Although he is from a mobile company, he talked about not only the mobile development side, but also other things like web frameworks, networking etc. 
Trends, reflect movements with staying power. Trends last longer and affect multiple industries and markets. Therefore, trends are extremely important to software professionals.


These are the few trends in software industry,
  1. Mobile
    Having a responsive website will not be enough and companies will continue to transfer their business activities to native mobile apps. More companies will focus on building native mobile apps that represent the basic functionality and the essence of business.
  2. Cloud Computing
    Cloud storage makes life easier and allows you to access the same information using various electronic devices.
  3. The Internet of Things
    Nowadays, countless electronic devices are connected to the Internet, servers, clouds, and each other, a development called IoT.
  4. Security
    With increased connectivity comes heightened concerns about security. Now more than ever, security software needed to protect new technologies is paramount.
  5. Big data
    Big data analysis is used in a number of ways to solve problems today. For example, police departments reduce crime without blanketing the city with patrol cars, by pinpointing likely crime hot spots at a given point in time based on real-time and historical data.
Software development along with web and mobile development is one of the industries that fuels its own progress. The ever-improving technologies, new frameworks, more advanced hardware and all sorts of acceleration tools lead to better products which ultimately lead to better production.

The Art of Living It was a different from other PPD sessions. Usually we are doing some activities and learn things to our lives in this session series. We enjoy that time period because it is different from other lectures, because we people are not like to sitting at the same place around three- four and listening to a lecture.  At that day, first we thought that it also another lecture. Dr. Ajith Collonne conduct the lecture on “Art Of Living”. Actually, we were wrong, it was not like other lectures. It is the most interesting lecture that I heard in this year. He was such an awesome person with capable of conducting lectures in an interesting way. Expert Game & Pen and Thread game

Expert game As every Tuesday morning, we were looking for an interesting PPD activity in the class room. As same as most of other days, madam came and we were formed into 5 groups and asked us to identify 3 people who are specialist👊 in any field. Each group had identified 3 specialist people. Then each specialist had to talk about his/her specialist field like, interesting memories with this field, good things and also drawbacks in that field to their group members within 5 minutes. After this, all the members in each group got some sort of idea about those field.  Our group had specialist people in fields of cooking, cricket and riding motor bikes.💪 Then we were asked to make a one product by combining all 3 specialist fields.
